South Dakota – Week 2
And so the trip continues. It is now day 15.
I will fill you in on what we’ve been up to since my last post.
September 10 was day 10. We drove in tandem for 90 miles to Three Flags RV Park near Rapid City, SD. After we set up,
Bill took the car to the welder he had spoken to.  About 6 hours and many $$$’s later, we had a fixed tow vehicle.
We spent the next 4 days at this campsite which was in the middle of a big field right beside the highway and a railroad track. But it really was fine. Little traffic noise could be heard inside the RV and the train only went by twice while we were there.
Days 11 to 13 we explored the area. This included Mount Rushmore National Monument, Keystone SD, and the very scenic highways including Needles Byway and The Wildlife Loop around the BlackHills. That’s where we saw bison, donkeys, antelope and deer.  We put many miles on the Jetta including a trip to Deadwood where Wild Bill Hickok was killed and to Belle Fourche where a monument depicts The Centre of the Nation.
Yesterday, day 14, we drove the RV with Jetta in tow about 110miles to Devil’s Tower KOA in Wyoming. This campground is right at the foot of Devil’s Tower which is quite spectacular. We spent the rest of the day relaxing and catching up on some chores. This morning we drove up to the Tower and hiked around the base of it. On the way to the Tower we passed a prairie dog town. There were lots and lots of the little critters.
Well adieu for now. Hope all is well with you. Talk again soon.

Glad to see that you are seeing things from both sides now(there was a song about that—– maybe Judy Collins). Meanwhile keep up with the core training.Anything you do(or not do) will have a payoff later.
